Gezamenlijke handelsreis van de havenbedrijven Port of Ghent, Zeeland Seaports en bedrijven resp. bedrijfsverenigingen naar de Baltische Staten van 24 t/m 28 augustus 2015


In Noord-Europa nemen de Baltische staten Estland, Letland en Litouwen een belangrijke plaats in als logistieke verbinding van en naar Oost-Europa. De regio is dan ook een interessante handelspartner voor de Zeeuwse en Gentse havens. 5 tot 7 % van de bestaande trafieken komen van of gaan reeds naar deze landen.

 

Vandaar dat Zeeland Seaports en PORTIZ in nauwe samenwerking met Havenbedrijf Gent in augustus 2015 een handelsreis hebben georganiseerd om nieuwe contacten te leggen en bestaande te verstevigen.

 

Tijdens de handelsreis is kennis gemaakt met vertegenwoordigers van diverse havens en bedrijven. Ook bestond de mogelijkheid om individuele afspraken te maken met relevante partijen.

 

Het programma van deze handelsreis was als volgt.

 

Maandag 24 augustus 2015

In de presentaties van Zeeland Seaports en Port of Ghent werden de historische relaties tussen beide havens uitgelegd en werden inhoudelijke en cijfermatige gegevens over de activiteiten in en van de havens uitvoerig toegelicht. Vervolgens kregen de bedrijven en de bedrijvenverenigingen de gelegenheid om hun eigen bedrijfsprofielen kort uiteen te zetten.

PORTIZ is the association of industrial and port companies (i.e. stevedores, logistic services) in the Dutch province of Zeeland. PORTIZ is the central point of contact for her members and stakeholders in this area:
- connects companies
- takes care of common interests of these companies
- strives for optimal economic conditions
- creates social and political support for the activities and operations of its members (license to operate)
